Galvin is an Emerging Markets strategist, focussing on markets in the CEEMEA region as well as on cross-EM macroeconomic themes.
Galvin has undergraduate majors in politics, philosophy and economics from the Australian National University, and a MPhil in Development Studies (with a focus on political economy and financial markets) from the University of Cambridge.
Prior to banking, Galvin conducted research on the political economy of China’s reform at the Fung Global Institute, an independent think-tank in Hong Kong. There, he was also personal research assistant to Liu Mingkang, China’s former chief banking regulator, and presented research to senior members of the public and private sectors.
